A genomewide association study of genetic loci associated with NMO will better characterize the disease genetically, set limits on the degree of genetic complexity and permit a robust search for major risk alleles that would provide substantial insight into disease etiology and ultimately impact treatment. The goal of this study is to analyze existing SNP genotype data from 115 cases to potentially identify genetic loci associated with NMO.
