The Foundation’s 2009 first annual NMO Patient Session brought people affected by neuromyelitis optica (NMO) together to discuss living with such a rare disease. GJCF Founder Victoria Jackson and NMO clinicians from the Mayo Clinic, the University of California San Francisco and others share their perspectives on the state of NMO today and future goals. The Patient Session offered a first-time chance for NMO doctors, patients, caregivers and families to share their stories face-to-face, which is a critical step toward finding solutions for NMO.
